Ron Komie

What is your hometown?

Chicago

What is your current location?

Los Angeles

What is an interesting fun fact about you?

I started on trumpet when I was in 3rd grade and then switched to guitar at 13.

Who are your favorite composers/producers?

I have countless influences ranging from Led Zeppelin to John Williams, and everything in between. My sister introduced me to progressive rock when I was a kid, so I was into Yes, Asia (early before they went pop rock), King Crimson etc. Later I got into every 70's rock band you could imagine, heavy influences were Jeff Beck, The Eagles, early Ted Nugent, Deep Purple and early Chicago. Later on I got into jazz/fusion, listening and learning from artists like George Benson, Jean Luc Ponte, Alan Holdsworth, and Chick Correa. I also got into film music by John Williams and all the big movie composers.
