Mary Haller

After a successful run as a commercial country songwriter, Mary Haller found her way back to the soulful pop and R&B influences that first inspired her. In addition to numerous artist cuts, she now has a growing number of placements in film and television and frequently collaborates with rising artists across genres.

Before turning full-time to music, Haller built a distinguished career as an arts administrator and publicist, holding key roles at several Boston-area cultural and educational institutions. She served for sixteen years as Director of Arts Communication at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and was previously affiliated with the Boston Symphony Orchestra.

Haller earned a Master’s Certificate in Songwriting from Berklee College of Music’s online program and was awarded the Berkleemusic Paul Simon Celebrity Scholarship. She also spent six years as a staff writer for Nashville’s Green Hills Music, led by legendary publisher Woody Bomar.
