Who are your favorite composers/producers?
Walter Murphy - his stuff on shows like Family Guy - such a versatile composer. Also David Arnold. Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein (Stranger Things) are great too. The heroes I grew up hearing though were people like with, Mike Post, Ron Grainer, Sylvester Levay. Their TV work was just as much an influence on me as anything in the charts or Bach.
What is an interesting fun fact about you?
I own more keyboards than shoes.
David McWilliam is a Composer and Producer based in England. He recently produced, engineered and co-wrote UB40 singer Matt Hoy’s debut album ‘Touch’, on which he also performs alongside legends Ali Campbell and Astro.
A classically trained Pianist, with diplomas from the London College of Music, the Royal Schools of Music, and a BA Honours degree, David is in demand as a performer as well as a composer.
Drawing on this rich musical background, David produces compelling Corporate Cues for commercials, atmospheric Minimal Underscores, sumptuous Piano themes, and Orchestral and EDM hybrids.
